Bombs are exploding and innocents are dying and Bush vetoed his first piece of legislation – a stem cell research bill that could lead to treatments that save millions of lives and improve the quality-of-life for millions saying, ''This bill would support the taking of innocent human life in the hope of finding medical benefits for others''

Stem cells are not a person or a life. They are a clump of cells. Without a uterus and sufficient endometrium, that's what they are. This Hideous Man is so righteous about life unless it's the life of US soldiers or innocent Iraqi's or death row inmates or the hundreds of thousands of US children in the foster care system or the millions living below the poverty line. Then it's no holds barred. Sorry. I get a little pissed off over this issue. Among others.
Incidentally, I often wonder if he and Laura conceived those twins naturally or with assited reproductive technology. I have my opinion about that.
It must be nice to have the best of both worlds. You know, exploiting science when it suits your needs but preventing others from doing the same when it doesn't align with your beliefs.
Amen, sister!
